Lectors are members of the congregation who, with training and continued study, read the lessons at each of the Sunday services. They are supplemented by other members of the congregation, both youth and adults, who read for special services on Holy Days, Stations of the Cross, the Passion on Palm Sunday, the Great Vigil of Easter, and Lessons and Carols.
We are particularly blessed to have a number of members of the congregation who speak in tongues for the reading on Pentecost. In recent years we have heard the description of the first Pentecost in Tagalog, Italian, Korean, Gothic, Norwegian, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Latin, Spanish, and German.
If you feel a calling to communicate the word of God at worship services through this ministry, please contact the Rector at firstname.lastname@example.org.
